Switzerland and Kuwait, 2014: AGYS and Gulf Business Machines, as partners in the Middle East, implemented an Integrated Human Capital Management system for managing and orchestrating all mission critical HR business processes within Kuwait Airways Corporation.
Kuwait Airways was looking for a flexible, scalable and dynamic solution that would provide end to end management of all their core Human Capital Management activities across the organization. The company’s challenge was that traditional HR Management systems did not provide functionality for managing the thousands of decisions and authorizations that are commonplace each month in their HR landscape.
The implementation combines best of breed functionality of AGYS’s enterprise decision management platform, PlenaryTM, IBM’s BPM and Cast Iron as a middleware, SAP HCM for Payroll and Time Management, and Zucchetti’s access control system. PlenaryTM collaborates directly with SAP’s information repositories to manage and orchestrate 22 dynamic multi path, rules based HR approval processes within KAC, such as leave request, new hire authorization, employee termination, salary increase or modification and the like.
The solution integrates 17 different internal and external systems, including two Kuwaiti ministries and it significantly decreased the Payroll calculation time from 5 days to 3 hours.
