AGYS chosen to participate in the Technology Transformation Program of Qatar Islamic Bank
AGYS was selected to be part of the Qatar Islamic Bank’s Transformation Program for turning the current IT legacy platform into a world class IT environment with latest advancements of Enterprise Architecture and Technology.
AGYS and GBM, as joint venture partners in the Middle East, will play the Enterprise Architect key role for designing and implementing QIB’s comprehensive Enterprise Architecture, leveraging a long standing practice expertise in complex Enterprise Architecture programs and innovative process automation solutions for the Banking sector.
The Technology Transformation Program aims at aligning QIB’s strategy for gaining increased market share thorugh the delivery of new products, improved customer service and improved operational efficiency, with an enterprise wide technology foundation that delivers these capabilities and scales for the future. The aggressive scope of the initiative would make QIB the first Islamic Bank in the region to have completed such a large scale transformation. The kick-off event of the Program took place in Doha, Qatar on the 17th and 18th of November and brought together the QIB Senior Workgroup and all key business partners: AGYS as Enterprise Architect, Temenos as Core Banking Partner, Deloitte as Program Management Partner and Sofgen as Subject Matter Expert Partner.
AGYS will deliver a comprehensive plan that will include Enterprise Architecture, operating models, information strategy, sourcing strategy, systems strategy, infrastructure strategy, along with assisting IT leadership teams in initiatives related to the strategic implementation plan. The methodology used for analysing the QIB information and building the outputs will be industry oriented and based on industry recognized frameworks and international best practice, such as T.O.G.A.F. (The Open Group Architecture Framework), BIAN (Banking Industry Architecture Network) and COBIT (Control Objectives for Information and Related Technology) which is dedicated to IT Governance.
AGYS will also assess the implemented strategic initiatives and provide improvement plans, train Technology management and staff in continuous improvement, and provide tools, techniques and templates related to Information Technology processes.
